Migrating your hiring data to Kula ATS is a fully guided, hassle-free process. With experience handling migrations from all major ATS platforms, we ensure that every critical detail is transferred smoothly and securely.

Step 0 : Before you begin
To ensure a smooth and successful data migration, wrap up all hiring activities in your old ATS before starting the process.
✅ Disable job board integrations (e.g., LinkedIn).
✅ Seamlessly redirect candidates to your Kula career page to complete their job application. Learn how to set it up.
✅ Close open jobs to stop new applications from entering your old ATS.

Step 1 : Prepare your data
(a) Generate an API Key
If your old ATS supports API-based exports, follow these steps:
Lever users: Use this Lever guide to generate your API key.
Greenhouse users: Navigate to API Credential Management, create a Harvest API Key, and enable permissions for all “Get” endpoints.
Other ATS users: Follow your ATS’s documentation to generate API credentials. (If you’re stuck, please contact our implementation manager.)
(b) Request a CSV Export
Please request a complete CSV export from your old ATS point of contact. Your export should include:
All Candidate and job data in CSV format.
All Candidate attachments, if available in your previous ATS.
Important: At Kula, we request both an API key and a CSV export to ensure seamless access to your data throughout the migration. Since API keys may expire after your contract ends with your old ATS, having both sources helps streamline the process and provides a reliable backup for any future needs.
Step 2 : Share your data with Kula
Send your API Key and CSV export to your Kula Implementation Manager. Our development team will handle the migration, ensuring structured and accurate data mapping.
Step 3 : Review and confirm
Once the migration is complete, we’ll notify you to review your data in Kula. Please check it thoroughly and report any discrepancies immediately for a quick resolution.
