Connect CodeInterview to Kula

Connecting CodeInterview lets you send coding assessments to candidates from inside Kula and review the scored report on the candidate's profile, without exporting or re-uploading anything.

Who can do this: Super Admin, Admin 

Where to find it: Settings → Organization → Organization integrations → Assessments

How to Connect CodeInterview with Kula

  1. Go to Settings → Organization → Organization integrations.

  2. Find the CodeInterview card under Assessments.

  3. Turn the toggle on. The CodeInterview Settings panel opens.

  4. Enter your CodeInterview API Key and click Connect CodeInterview.

  5. Once the API key is verified, a webhook gets generated.
    This webhook should be added in the Remoteview of CodeInterview.

  6. To navigate to Remoteview of CodeInterview, click on Tests.

  7. Then click on the profile name icon > Integrations:

  8. Paste the webhook in the Outgoing Webhooks section:

  9. The card shows Connected once verification succeeds.

CodeInterview API key can be found in Codeinterview under the profile icon > Integrations

What you can do once it is connected

  • Send a CodeInterview coding assessment to a candidate from Kula.

  • Candidates take the assessment in CodeInterview with nothing extra to set up on your side.

  • The scored report flows back to the candidate's profile in Kula automatically the moment they submit.

Good to know

  • Reports sync on their own. There is nothing to export, download, or re-upload from CodeInterview.

  • The result appears as soon as the candidate submits, so you do not need to refresh or chase it.

FAQ

Do I have to download the CodeInterview report and attach it to the candidate? No. The scored report syncs into Kula automatically when the candidate submits and appears on their profile alongside everything else.

Does the candidate need a CodeInterview account before they can take the test? No. Candidates take the assessment in CodeInterview with nothing extra to set up on your side.
