How to Enable and Disable the EEO Survey

The Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) survey in Kula helps U.S. federal contractors comply with OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs) requirements by collecting information related to diversity hiring efforts, such as gender, race, veteran status, and disability status. Even if your company is not a federal contractor, you can still use this functionality to track and measure diversity hiring within the U.S. 

Important: EEO surveys should only be sent to candidates applying for U.S.-based positions. Sending the survey to non-U.S. candidates may result in the collection of sensitive information from candidates outside the U.S., which is not recommended.

How to Enable the EEO Survey

1. Click on the Settings icon located at the bottom of the left-side menu.
2. Under the Privacy & Compliance section, click on EEO Survey.
3. You will be prompted to enable the survey if your company is in the U.S. Click on the toggle button to enable the survey.
   
4. For the first question, choose Yes if your company is a U.S. federal government contractor. If not, select No.
5. If you selected Yes(Federal Contractor), the following categories will be captured by default and cannot be edited:
   • Gender
   • Race
   • Veteran Status
   • Disability Status
     
     If you selected No, only Gender and Race will be selected by default. You can choose to manually include Veteran Status if desired.
     
     
6. In the Select Offices field, choose the office locations where the EEO survey should be displayed to candidates during the application process.
7. Click on the Save Changes button to finalize enabling the EEO survey.

How to Disable the EEO Survey

1. Go to the Settings icon and click on the EEO Survey under Privacy & Compliance.
2. Click on the toggle button to turn off the EEO survey.
3. A confirmation modal will appear to verify your decision. Click on Yes, Confirm to finalize the action.
