Leaving a job posting open when you’re no longer hiring can lead to unnecessary applications, cluttering your talent pipeline and skewing your reporting metrics. For better data hygiene, it’s crucial to close job postings once the hiring process is complete.

Adding Job Closure Reasons

  1. Click the Settings icon at the bottom of the left-side menu.

  2. Under the Jobs & Applications section, select Job Closure Reasons.

  3. You will see three default categories:

    • Hired
    • On Hold
    • Not Filling

(Note: These categories cannot be deleted, but you can add, edit, enable/disable, or delete custom closure reasons within each category.)

  1. To add a new closure reason, click Add Job Closure Reason under any category.
  2. Enter the reason in the Reason field based on your organization's criteria.
  3. Click Create to save the new closure reason, which will be enabled by default.

Editing Job Closure Reasons
  1. Hover over the closure reason on the Job Closure Reasons homepage and click the Edit icon.
  2. Update the name as needed.
  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Moving Job Closure Reasons
  1. Hover over the closure reason and click the Move icon.

  1. Choose the new category to reassign the reason.

(Note: The reason will retain its enabled or disabled status after moving.)

Deleting Job Closure Reasons
  1. Hover over the closure reason and click the Delete icon.
  2. Type DELETE when prompted.
  3. Click Delete to confirm and remove the closure reason.
