Manage Custom Job Fields

Job Fields in Kula help capture specific details about individual jobs. You can create custom fields to add additional information as needed.


Adding a Custom Job Field


  1. Click on the "Settings" icon located at the bottom of the left-side menu.

  2. Under the "Custom Fields" section, click on "Job Fields."

  3. You will see the "Default Information" section, which includes fields such as Department, Workplace, Office, Work Type, Skills, Education, and Experience. These fields cannot be edited.

  4. To create a new custom job field, click on the "Add Custom Job Field" button at the top right corner.

  5. In the "Field Name" field, enter the name of the custom job field.

  6. In the "Field Type" section, select one of the following options:

    • Short Text: Allows a single line of unformatted text.
    • Long Text: Allows multiple lines of unformatted text.
    • Single Select: Allows one answer to be selected.
    • Multi-Select: Allows multiple answers to be selected.
    • Date: Allows selection of a date from a picker.
    • Number: Allows numerical input.
    • URL: Allows entry of a URL.
    • Yes/No: Allows a yes or no choice.
    • Currency: Allows a currency format.
  7. Note: Once a field type is selected, it cannot be changed.

  8. Enter the necessary information in the "Description" field.

  9. The "Token" field will auto-populate.

  10. In the "Only Show For Jobs In These Offices" field, select the office locations where the custom field should appear.

  11. In the "Only Show For Jobs In These Departments" field, select the departments where this field should appear.

  12. If you want the field to be mandatory during job creation, check the "Required Field" box.

  13. Finally, click on the "Add" button to complete the creation of the custom field.


Editing a Custom Job Field
  1. On the "Job Fields" homepage under the "Custom Fields" section, click on the name of the custom job field you wish to edit.

  2. Update the necessary fields based on your current requirements.

  3. Click on the "Save" button to complete the update.



Deleting a Custom Job Field
  1. On the "Job Fields" homepage under the "Custom Fields" section, click on the "Delete" icon next to the custom job field you want to remove.

  2. A confirmation modal will appear. Click on the "Yes, Delete" button to confirm and delete the field.
