The Notifications tab keeps your team informed with real-time updates across all recruiting activities. This article covers what each notification means, how they are delivered, and how to track bulk activity progress.

Notifications

Notifications tab typically shows real-time updates and alerts related to Candidate activity, Scheduling updates, Task assignments, Collaboration updates, System alerts.

Types of Notifications

Kula sends notifications across five main categories:

  • Candidate & pipeline – Updates as candidates move through your hiring stages.

  • Scheduling – Reminders and changes related to interviews and self-scheduling.

  • Approvals & reviews – Alerts for job approvals, offer approvals, and scorecard requests.

  • Collaboration – Mentions, project invitations, and referral activity.

  • Account & system – Integrations, data exports, credit limits, and account changes.

The table below lists every notification in Kula, what triggers it, and how it is delivered. All notifications are sent in-app and also trigger an email and Slack message unless otherwise noted.

Sent to the candidate with interview details and RSVP request.

Email only

Replies to emails sent from a Kula do not trigger a notification. They appear in the Conversation tab on the candidate’s profile instead.

Managing Your Notifications

The Notifications panel shows notifications that are personal to you — you only see updates relevant to the jobs, candidates, tasks, and workflows you are involved with. Other team members see their own set of notifications.

From the panel you can:

  1. Show only unread — Toggle on Show only unread (top right) to filter down to notifications you haven’t seen yet.

  1. Mark all as read — Click the ✓ icon (top right of the panel) to instantly mark all your notifications as read in one go.

Recent Activities

The Recent Activities section gives you a live view of the progress and status of all bulk operations performed in Kula.

Access it from the Notifications panel by clicking the Recent activities tab.

Tracking Bulk Activity Progress

Once a bulk action is triggered, monitor it under Recent Activities:

  • Ongoing — shows in-progress actions with a progress bar and candidate count (e.g., Moving candidates to a stage — 35 out of 50 candidates).

  • Completed — shows finished actions with a timestamp and the job or filter context they were run from.

Each entry shows the action type, how many records were processed, the associated job or filter, and the date and time it ran.
