Managing candidates through the pipeline is a crucial aspect of the recruitment process. It involves tracking and advancing candidates through various stages of the hiring process, ensuring that they are evaluated consistently and efficiently.

Moving Candidates Through the Pipeline

  1. From the Pipeline tab, select the candidate you wish to move forward. You’ll see their current stage in the pipeline.
  2. You can either drag and drop the candidate’s card to the next stage in the pipeline or click on the Candidates page and click on the Move to Stage button.

Review Candidate Progress

  • Regularly review the pipeline to monitor candidate progress. Look out for candidates who may be stuck in a particular stage for too long, as this might indicate a bottleneck or require further action.
  • Use filters to view candidates at specific stages or those who have been in a stage for a defined period. This helps in prioritizing actions and maintaining momentum in the hiring process.

Manage Rejections and Offers

  • If a candidate is not moving forward, you can reject them by selecting the Reject option from the pipeline stage. Optionally, send a personalized rejection email with feedback.
  • For candidates who successfully reach the final stage, extend an offer by moving them to the "Offer Extended" stage. This stage may trigger additional actions, such as sending an official offer letter. Please view our guide on how to send an offer letter.

FAQs

Q: What should I do if a candidate is stuck in one stage for too long?

A: If a candidate is stuck in a stage, first review their profile to see if there’s an action required (e.g., scheduling an interview). If no immediate action is needed, follow up with the hiring team to understand the delay and determine the next steps.

Q: How do I handle candidates who are no longer a fit for the role?

A: If a candidate is no longer a fit, you can reject them directly from their current stage in the pipeline. You have the option to send a personalized rejection email, providing feedback if appropriate.
