Referral programs are a powerful way to tap into your employees' networks and boost your candidate pipeline. Referred candidates often progress faster through the hiring process, saving time and costs. In Kula, any team member can submit referrals easily.

Create a referral form:

  1. You will now be in the Referral Form section, which contains two default sections: Candidate Information and Referral Information.
    • The Candidate Information section includes an editable Resume field.
    • The Referral Information section is fully customizable.

NOTE: The above two sections are provided out-of-the-box by Kula, so you can configure a referral form with a starting point, not start from scratch, and save some time.

  1. To rename the Referral Information section, click the Edit button, update the name in the textbox, and click Save.

  2. To delete the Referral Information section, click the Delete button. A confirmation modal will appear. Click Yes, delete to confirm.

  3. To add a new field, click Add Field, enter the field name, select the field type, and complete the description. Check the Required Field box if the field is mandatory, then click Add.

    Available Field Types:
    • Short Text: Single line of unformatted text.

    • Long Text: Multiple lines of unformatted text.

    • Multi-Select: Multiple answers can be selected.

    • Date: A date picker will be available.

    • Number: Only numbers can be entered.

    • URL: A URL can be added.

    • Yes/No: Either yes or no can be chosen.

    • Currency: A currency format will be used.

  4. To delete a field, click the Delete icon next to the field.

  5. Click Save to save all configurations.

Create a Referral Email

  1. After configuring the form, click on the Referral Email section.

  2. Update the Subject and Body fields as needed. This is the email that will be sent to referred candidates.

  3. Click Save to complete the email configuration.

Manage Referral Policy

  1. After configuring the email, click on the Referral Policy section.
  2. You will be prompted to enable the referral module for your organization.
  3. Toggle the button to activate the module.
  4. Upload your organization's referral policy using one of the available methods.
  5. Click Save to complete the setup.
