Criteria Corp assessments
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Connecting Criteria Corp lets you send its aptitude, personality and skills tests from inside Kula, with scores returning to the candidate's profile automatically.
Who can integrate it: Super Admin, Admin
Who can send tests: Anyone on the job's hiring team as a recruiter, hiring manager or coordinator
Connect Criteria Corp
Get your API key first — you can't generate it yourself. Criteria Corp keys are issued only by your dedicated Criteria account manager; there's no self-service option in their platform. Start that request early, as it depends on someone outside your team.
Once you have the key, connect Criteria Corp on the integrations page — see [Connecting Criteria Corp with Kula]
Kula then reads the test packages available on your Criteria Corp account so you can choose them by name.
Set it up on the job
Add a Criteria Corp assessment activity to a stage in the job's interview plan and pick the package candidates should complete. Every candidate reaching that stage then has it waiting on them.
Adding activities to a stage is covered in [Creating an interview plan]
Send it to a candidate
Setting the activity up doesn't invite anyone. The invitation goes out when you send it for a specific candidate.
Open the candidate and find the assessment activity on their stage.
Click Send assessment.

On Details, choose the reviewer(s) who'll score the result and confirm the assessment package.
On Scorecard, set the scorecard those reviewers will fill in.
Send.
Send it without the interview plan
To send a test to one candidate without adding it to the plan, use Send CriteriaCorp assessment from the candidate's actions menu.
After it's sent
The activity gives you Edit assessment to change it, and Cancel to withdraw it. Cancelling deletes the assessment permanently and can't be undone.

Monitoring Results and view Report
Kula updates the candidate timeline automatically with these statuses:
Pending submission: Invite sent.
Submitted: Test completed by the candidate.
To view Report:
Click View Scorecard → View full assessment and report to see the complete report.

Navigate to Files → Additionally, you can view the report in PDF form under the Files section of the application.

Note: Once an assessment is sent it cannot be changed. To send a different assessment, cancel this one and send again.
Good to know
The API key must come from your Criteria account manager. It cannot be self-generated.
The candidate needs an email address, or the send action is disabled.
Packages are configured in Criteria Corp, not Kula. Kula reads what's available on your account.
Results may lag the candidate finishing, where the package includes an element that needs evaluating.
Only Super Admins and Admins can connect or disconnect the integration.
FAQ
How do I get a Criteria Corp API key? Ask your dedicated Criteria account manager. Unlike the other assessment integrations, you can't generate one yourself from the provider's platform.
My API key was rejected. Check it was issued for the account you're connecting and copied in full. If it still fails, go back to your account manager — keys are issued per account and may be scoped.
The candidate finished the test but there are no scores yet. If the package includes a video or live interview element, there's an evaluation phase after they finish. The status shows Evaluation in progress until that's done.
I can't see the package I want. Kula lists the packages available on the connected Criteria Corp account. If one is missing, confirm it's enabled there.
Where do I see the candidate's results? On their profile, in the stage the assessment belongs to. For more, see [Viewing assessment results on the profile]([link to be added]).
