How offers work in Kula

An offer takes a candidate from a first draft through approval, document generation, and sending — right up to acceptance. This article walks through the whole journey so you know what happens at each step.

Who can do this: Recruiter, Hiring Manager, Admin, Super Admin

Where to find it: Candidates → open a candidate's application → Current job tab → Offer

What an offer is attached to

An offer always belongs to a single candidate's job application. You can only have one active offer per application at a time — to start over, cancel the existing offer first. See Creating an offer.

The stages of an offer

  1. Create the offer with the candidate's and job's details — see Creating an offer.

  2. Choose an offer letter template so Kula can generate the document.

  3. Get internal approval, if your organisation has offer approval turned on.

  4. Send the offer — either by email through Kula or through an e-signature provider. See Sending an offer to a candidate through Kula and Sending offers with e-signature.

  5. Track the outcome — accepted, declined, or cancelled. See the full list of offer statuses.

Good to know

  • You can only have one active offer per application. To make a new one, cancel the current offer first.

  • If your organisation tracks requisitions, accepting an offer automatically fills the linked requisition; declining, cancelling, or changing the linked requisition reopens it.

  • Kula doesn't auto-expire offers. Setting an expiration date puts that date on the letter and approval emails, but the offer's status won't change on its own once that date passes.

FAQ

  • Can I make more than one offer for the same candidate application?

    No — Kula only allows one active offer per application. Cancel the existing offer before creating a new one. For more, see Creating an offer.

  • What happens to the requisition when an offer is accepted or declined?

    If requisitions are enabled, accepting an offer fills the linked requisition automatically; declining
